Barrier Casings
Barrier casings consist of specially selected layers to reduce the penetration of water vapor, gases and aromas to a minimum.
In practice, this means securing products for a long period of time. Used for steamed or boiled cold cuts and sausages, products pressed in molds, processed cheeses, delicatessen products.
Thanks to a special production process, the casings are odorless and bacteriologically neutral, and have very good longitudinal and transverse heat shrinkage (13% +- 3). Thanks to these advantages, the products packed in them look appetizing and are very compact, and the UV filters used protect the products against discoloration due to the effects of UV rays contained in natural light. They have very good mechanical strength, and after soaking in cold water they become flexible, which allows them to be easily filled.
The barrier casing is intended for food contact, but is inedible itself.
